The Stockley Gardens Arts Festival
The Stockley Gardens Arts Festival is usually held on the third weekend in May. Deadlines for exhibiting artist applications are usually the first week of February. Approximately 150 artists exhibit a wide variety of media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and photography. More than 25,000 people flock to Stockley Gardens in Norfolk’s historic Ghent neighborhood to browse and purchase art. A fall SGAF is also held the second week of October with deadline for artist sign-ups around start of July. The Chesapeake Arts Show comes to life on the fourth weekend in April, artist application deadline is usually around the fourth week of January. Event sponsor, Hope House Foundation has worked on the frontlines of the battle for independence, community inclusion, and true citizenship for people with developmental disabilities in Hampton Roads since 1964. The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival
The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival is held around the second week of June each summer, artist deadline to apply is usually around the first of February. The festival features more than 400 exhibiting artists with more than 40,000 pieces of art are scattered along Virginia Beach's boardwalk. The event attracts 350,000 visitors each year with over $1 million in sales. Since 1953, the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia has been committed to fostering exploration, understanding and awaremess of the significant art of our time. Regularly changing exhibitions feature painting, sculpture, photography, glass, video and other visual media from internationally acclaimed artists as well as artists of national and regional renown. The Neptune Art and Craft Show
The Neptune Art and Craft Show is held around the third week of September, artist deadline to apply is usually around the middle of March. The festival features more than 300 exhibitors scattered along 32 blocks of Virginia Beach ocean boardwalk attracting nearly 200,000 festival goers.
